Zuvuya (Mayan word that literally means "The Big Memory Circuit") were a British electronic / trance act consisting of Phil Pickering, Paul Chousmer and Mick West. They were previously members of Webcore, an 80's psychedelic rock/prog rock group formed in Cornwall, who were frequently described as being ahead of their time and who released several cassettes, two albums and two 12" singles on the Jungle record label between 1983 and 1990. As Zuvuya the group released a number of 12"s and CDs in the mid-1990s.
Links to Peel[]
Peel never played any of Webcore's material on his shows, according to available tracklistings on this site. However, when the trio formed Zuvuya and released 'Grabbing Nandi By The Horn' in 1993, he was impressed to invite them to do a session for his show in 1994, where they performed three tracks.
