The Upholsterers were an American garage punk band in 2000, from Detroit, Michigan. The two-piece band was composed of Jack White and Brian Muldoon. Muldoon provided drums, while White played on guitar and created sounds with a worm gear saw. The group was short-lived and only released one single before disbanding. After the band split, Jack White went back to the White Stripes and Brian Muldoon later formed The Muldoons, whose first gig was opening for The White Stripes in front of thousands of people at the Masonic Temple in Detroit on October 2, 2005.

Peel obtained the band's only single in 2000 from the Sympathy For The Record Industry label and after the success of the White Stripes, played tracks from the EP in 2001. The single was later found in John Peel's Record Box after his death.
