Reggae regular ghetto rock

Reggae Regular (aka The Regulars) are a British reggae band, founded in South London in 1977. In 1978, their ‘Where Is Jah?’ single was the first release on Greensleeves Records. After an abortive deal with CBS (as The Regulars), the band returned to Greensleeves in 1982, backing and recording with artists on the label’s roster including Frankie Paul, Pato Banton, Barrington Levi, Wailing Souls, Tippa Irie and Clint Eastwood & General Saint, as well as working with Mad Professor.

The band recorded two Peel sessions, both in 1978. The first was subsequently selected by Peel for his best-of-year Festive Fifty Session Broadcasts. Available show tracklistings on this site suggest relatively few plays by Peel as either Reggae Regular or The Regulars.
