The Quests were a Singapore pop group formed between 1961 and 1971, consisting of Jap Chong, Raymond Leong, Lim Wee Guan and Reggie Verghese. The Quests released records under the EMI label in English, Mandarin and Malay languages. Spanning various musical genres, from rock ‘n’ roll to bossa nova and cha cha, their record sales exceeded 20,000 copies, where they also appeared on radio and television in Singapore and Malaysia.

Peel played a track from the group in 1993 from the Exotic Beatles compilation album, that featured Beatles covers in various foreign languages. The track ('Aku Kembali Lagi') Peel played from the Quests on his 24 July 1993 (BFBS) show was a cover of The Beatles 'I'll Be Back' in the Malay language. No other tracks from the act was known to be played by Peel according to available playlists.
