Sir Mclean Emmanuel (born 28th February 1942), better known as King Short Shirt, is an Antiguan singer from the Caribbean nation of Antigua & Barbuda, who was considered by some to be the king of calypso music. He took part in Calypso competitions on Antigua island and won the local calypso crown 15 times before retiring in 2013.

In the end of 1977, Peel choose his favourite 61 songs of the year, which included King Short Shirt's Nobody Go Run Me, which was his 30th favourite song of the year in his 1977 Festive Fifty.

On the programme, Caribbean Celebration, Peel mentioned buying King Short Shirt's LP while holidaying in St. Lucia in 1977 and on his 24 September 1986 (VPRO) show, he claimed he bought the record after hearing Nobody Go Run Me on a radio station from the island.

Peel would continue playing King Short Shirt's music throughout the late 70's, 80's and 90's.
