The John Dummer Band also known as John Dummer's Blues Band, John Dummer's Famous Music Band, John Dummer's Oobleedooblee Band and The John Dummer Band Featuring Nick Pickett was a British blues band, of the 1960s and 1970s, was noted for its extensive roster of members, including Graham Bond, Dave Kelly, Jo-Ann Kelly, Tony McPhee, Bob Hall, John O'Leary and Pick Withers, and for supporting US bluesmen such as Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker on UK tours.

After the band broke up in 1974, Dummer became a promotion manager; spending three years at MCA Records and a year at Elektra Records, before joining A&M Records. In 1977 he became the drummer with Darts. He later managed The Screaming Blue Messiahs for three years.

John Dummer's bands grew out of the British blues boom and although they never achieved the critical and commercial success of contemporaries like Fleetwood Mac and Chicken Shack, Peel liked them enough to book them for six sessions for his programmes between 1968 and 1973.

A number of notable musicians passed through Dummer's various line-ups and some did Peel sessions under their own names (Graham Bond, Dave Kelly, Jo-Ann Kelly). Tony McPhee became best-known as leader of the Groundhogs. John Dummer himself enjoyed more success in his later career as musician, artist manager and record company promotions manager - although few of his projects seem to have been played by Peel.
