Hofman were a Cambridge based indie rock band playing in the late 90s. They released several singles, an EP and a full-length album, as well as playing a session for John Peel. The group consisted of Chad Young, Jason Williams, Neil Rogers and Steven Adams. After Hofman called it a day, lead singer Steve Adams and guitarist Jason Williams went on to form The Broken Family Band.

Peel played the group's 'Ladies On The Way' track on his show in March 1998. Further records by the group were played by the DJ, including a session they recorded for his show, where a live track ('Paid To Wait') recorded by the group at Maida Vale was performed on the 14 July 1998 programme. Further four exclusive tracks from Maida Vale along with 'Paid To Wait' were broadcast on his 19 August 1998 programme.
