In March 2000, Garlic performed its first show in London. Constantly touring throughout the country resulted in a buzz among journalists, including BBC Radio host John Peel. After hearing Garlic, Peel invited the band on his show to perform a session for his radio programme in 2001. He also nominated their album, 'The Murky World Of Seats', as one of his albums of the months for August 2001 (Peel's Record Box) and October 2001 (Peel's Record Box).
