Peel played her track, 'Band Of Gold', on some of his shows, sometimes to mark his and Sheila's anniversary, although current tracklistings from this site does not state whether he played the song in 1970 when it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart. On his special 40th birthday programme, broadcast on 30th August 1979, Peel chose the track as one of the songs that he would like to play at his birthday party, rather than being one of his all time favourites.
