Foreheads In A Fishtank were an English alternative experimental band from Rayleigh, Essex, who started out as the Two Ex-Famous People group before evolving into their name in 1988. They released several singles, the first in 1989 and the last in 1991, as well as three albums; Buttocks (1992), Yeah Baby Wow (1992) and Stripper (1994). The group disbanded sometime in the mid-90's with singer, Jeff Leahy going into film production[1] and joining Bad Dream Fancy Dress, and drummer Adrian Leaman, choosing a career in woodmanship [2].
Links to Peel[]
Peel seemed to have discovered the group in the summer of 1990 when he first played their track, She Loves You Yeah. A year later, despite suspected Festive Fifty vote rigging, he got them to do their debut session, where they performed four tracks. Another two years later, in 1993, a second session was recorded, but by the time they released their final album, Stripper, in 1994, Peel seemed to have lost interest in them and he never played any material from that.

There were so many votes, it would have been number 1 by a mile if I'd counted them, they used to come in in sheaves of 40 to 50 at a time.")
