Rig were an electronic/indie rock band from Manchester consisting of:
- Adam Rockingham
- Carl Lawson
- Darren Jones
- Jonathan Barrett
The group released several singles between 1990 and 1991. The band later changed their name to Flatback 4, and released a couple of singles before splitting up.

Peel played tracks from the band between 1990 and 1991. He also gave the band a chance to perform a session for his show in 1994 when they changed their name to Fatback 4 and played their songs on his shows.
