This was the ninth and final program hosted by John Peel in 1982 and was the Christmas day special edition featuring a wide array of Radio One DJs. This was the week's singles chart, the chart rundown having been the subject of the 23 December 1982 show.

Certain members of Duran Duran switch instruments from those they actually played during their performance of the song Hungry Like The Wolf.
