Carnastoan was a Handsworth, Birmingham based British reggae band consisting of Everal ‘Neville’/‘Bulba’ Brown (Lead Vocal/Rhythm Guitar), Neville ‘Didgee’ King (Keyboards), Conrad Kelly (Drums), Anthony ‘Boot’ Bennett (Bass) and Leo Green (Congas/Percussion).
The band recorded two acclaimed sessions at Maida Vale Studios, London for Radio One’s John Peel Sessions on 01/12/1981 and 29/09/1982.
The artwork for the bands only release Sweet Melody/Mr Workhard was done by artist Alvin Kelly, older brother of the bands drummer Conrad Kelly.
