  • JP comments on a weekend gig he did at Guildford (and comes close to incitement to cause a riot): 'A curiously lethargic audience, I'm not sure why they came, a lot of them. There were about thirty or forty people who were dancing quite a bit, and I was grateful to see them, and at one stage a whole bunch of skins arrived from Guildford. I was told after they'd departed that they usually come along to do a bit of student bashing. I must confess that by the end of the evening I was in some sympathy with them. Give me an iron bar and I'd have joined them, I think.'
