- The tracklisting comes from the collection of Peel Group member Paul Bryant, with additional information drawn from Ken Garner's The Peel Sessions. Further tracks from Tim Joseph.
- The Incredible String Band's session was - apart from one track - previously broadcast on the first Peel Night Ride, on 6 March 1968. It was the only Night Ride session to be repeated during the run of the programme.
- After the Liverpool poets' appearances in the earlier programmes, the featured poet in this Night Ride is Tom Pickard, a leading light in the still lively Newcastle poetry scene and organiser of readings at the historic Morden Tower venue. Like his Liverpool contemporaries, Pickard was involved with music at this time; his band, King Ida's Watch Chain, performed at Middle Earth, among other venues, but never recorded.
- No recording of this programme has been found (so far).
