- File 3 is a 36 minute show with some continuity and Peel links.
- Peel plays and praises "Mr Bojangles", the best-known song by country singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker. It was a hit single in the US at the time, but despite Peel's hopes, didn't chart in Britain. The song was covered by Sammy Davis Jr, Neil Diamond, and, much later, by Robbie Williams.
