  • Peel had had a bad day. He'd been doing some filming for a television programme down by the Tower of London, with lots of tourists watching, which had made him feel uncomfortable. To compound things, the woman in charge of the shoot confused him with Bob Harris. Several wry references to Harris are made during the programme.
  • Two songs called 'Nitro' are played, but the second is not a cover of the first.
  • JP trails the exclusive live track from the White Stripes, which is an extra track left over from a live set broadcast recently by Steve Lamacq. In doing so he makes another dig at the 'Elephant' controversy - "I'd better not mention on the radio until until I play it in case we get legal representations from New York to stop us playing it."
  • The Jack The Lad track is played to mark the fact that two of the sons of drummer Ray Laidlaw are in the group Mos Eisley.

Sessions

  • Saloon #3. Recorded 2003-03-19. No known commercial release.
