Peel mentions that it has been a great month for new LPs, and that he has played tracks from Swervedriver, Moe Tucker, Holger Hiller, Nirvana, and the Pixies, but the track he played from the last-named does not appear on this recording.
(JP: 'It's a sad reflection on our times that the success of that will depend very much on what PJ Harvey looks like, even in 1991. If she looks suitably waif-like and in need of male protection, in the eyes of her beholders anyway, then it'll probably do very well. Either way, I have no idea what she looks like and I don't especially care, because I think it's a great record.')
(JP: 'I expect that my gorgeous fellow travellers on the Nachtexpress have been playing you lots of tracks from the new LP by Nirvana. In case they haven't, again, this is one that you shouldn't miss.')
