021 were a Midlands area punk band who were labelmates of the Accused on No Rip Off Records. Both bands contributed to Mell Square Musick EP, released in 1979. Peel played both of their tracks from the EP on the same show that September.
They released another single in September 1982 called "The Pop Song". Again this was self-financed and released on their own label.
The band's name was derived from the then dialling code for Birmingham (since changed to 0121).
